Microneedling
Microneedling therapy (also called skin needling) is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through the process of neovascularization and neocollagenesis, there is improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. We use this treatment for stretch marks, acne scars and wrinkles.
Microneedling is a safe, chemical-free method that triggers new collagen production. Because it can be performed on all skin colors and types, it is sometimes the preferred treatment over laser. The procedure is well tolerated by patients with minimal downtime, and can be easily personalized by going deeper on some areas where skin damage requires a more aggressive approach.
The next generation of skin rejuvenation is here. Ariessence Pure PDGF+ is now available in Washington, and Sima Clinic is the first to offer it! Ariessence is the culmination of 30 years of experience in the growth factor field by Dr. Samuel Lynch working with platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), the only growth factor to have received FDA approval in 4 medical therapeutic products. This revolutionary formula boosts collagen production, speeds up wound healing, and improves skin texture. Say goodbye to fine lines and scars and hello to a radiant glow!
How it works
A sterile roller with fine needles is applied to the skin and penetrates into the dermis, which induces your body to produce more collagen. Additionally, these channels also improve the penetration of Vitamin A and Vitamin C creams by 1000%, which encourage softer and more youthful looking skin. Results can last 5-10 years.
Why should you consider Microneedling
-
The treatment is not painful and causes no permanent damage to the skin, whereas other treatments like lasers and chemical peels could expose your skin to dirt, dust, and bacteria.
-
There is a much shorter healing period for Microneedling (1-2 days) than other treatments like dermabrasion (2-5 days) or laser treatment (30-60 days).
-
The treatment is cost effective.
-
Microneedling can be done on thin skin, laser resurfaced skin, and all areas of the face, neck, and body.
